Harvest Sacramento’s 2017 Citrus Season is nearing completion, so we’re putting out a LAST CALL for gleaning requests and are looking for your assistance in locating any and all big citrus trees in the Sacramento area with significant fruit remaining on them.

Trees can be submitted for gleaning via the Soil Born Farms website.

Here’s where we’ll be harvesting during our final two big community harvest events:

March 18th – Ethel Baker Elementary Special Event

  • Harvesting throughout South Sacramento neighborhoods.
  • Plus fruit and shade tree planting, and many school garden projects on campus.

April 1st – Sac State Community Harvest – Sold out

  • Sac State students, staff and alumni
  • Harvesting in East Sac, River Park, Campus Commons, Arden, Midtown and any other neighborhoods accessible from the CSUS campus.

Gleaned fruit is donated to Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services for distribution to local families in need.
